Ysgol Rhiwabon 24 Game Tournament Rules
Here are the official rules for the Ysgol Rhiwabon 24 Game Tournament
Rules
1. Times and dates of games are shown on the fixture list. If a competitor is ill, his or her game will be rearranged. If a competitor is in school but has other commitments (e.g. choir practice), then it is their responsibility to inform James Dean, Mr Hotchkiss or Mrs Griffiths beforehand, and at the earliest possible opportunity. Failure to do so will result in him or her forfeiting the match, with the actual score to be decided by a panel of independent adjudicators.

2. All matches start at either 12:45 or 12:55. Competitors are expected to arrive promptly.

3. Each game will consist of twenty cards, five of these being worth one spot, ten being worth two spots, and the remaining five being worth three spots. The winner of the game will be the competitor who has the highest number of spots after all cards have been played, or after eight minutes have elapsed, whichever is sooner.

4. Winners will be awarded two points.

4b) In the event of a draw in the group stages, then each competitor will be awarded one point.

4c)In the event of a draw in the knock-out stage, extra cards will be added.

5 If both competitors are stuck on a card, either may ask for a new card. However, this will only be given if their opponent agrees.

5b) In the above circumstances, if the second player refuses the offer of a new card, then the first may forfeit the card, which will pass to his opponent.
